About Street Link

Street Link is an intiative where a team of trained volunteers to take to the streets of Failsworth, Hollinwood and the surrounding area to meet people were they are. Our mission is to reach people with the message of Love and to encourage them to connect with God.
We provide a base for them to be brought back to and any help we can give them.

Hi everyone.

Just to keep you all updated on the progress of Street LInk FC. We are now in a Monday night league at Kaskenmoor Astro Pitch. We got off to a rocky start but with shear determination, we are back to winning and the guys are doing excellent. We are really proud of them all.

Street Link is continuing to grow at an incredible rate. So mush so, that we are now looking into different areas to start simular projects. The work that we have been has really been effectiive. Our social action side, where we bless members of the commmunity by getting the youth to do the gardens and clean their homes, is really successful and also gives the guys positive attitudes and work experience. We have been having a great time up in Collierhill where we have built some fantastic relationships with the residents. We have many who come along to church now and we do a lot of pastoral house visits and always get lovely cups of tea and how made food. But most of all, we are having church in people's home. We worship and prayer and go through the scriptures with families who are asking us if they cam come to church on Sundays. Its nothing short of amazing to be part of.
 

At the very end of October, we had a special event, where a lot of the guys who play a part in the football team entered our talent show. They got up on stage and sany their hearts out and we where presently surprised. They all did great and even got their faces in the Oldham Chronicle. What a fantastic night.

Street Link are doing a design a Christmas Calendar Competition where people can draw a picture or use a photo to see if they can win the chance to get their picture in the calendar which will be distributed in the local area. Contact me for more details.

I can't wait for Christmas guys so keep your ears and eyes open for some of the things we are doing over the festive season.
